# FootQuery > FootQuery is a football stats engine you can ask in plain language. Ask football stats questions and get exact answers computed from real match data, with the matches behind every number, saved on boards you can share. FootQuery is not a football chatbot. A chatbot writes an answer. FootQuery calculates it from the matches, and shows you which ones. ## What FootQuery is - A stats engine with a plain-language interface. The AI only reads and understands the question. Every number is computed from real match records, not generated by a language model. - Exact and consistent. The same question gives the same answer, because counts, thresholds, streaks and splits are calculated from the actual matches. - Verifiable. Every answer shows the matches behind the number and where the data comes from: the provider, the matches used, and any coverage gaps, which are marked instead of filled in. - A board, not a chat log. Answers become widgets you keep, arrange, refresh, group in folders and share. Match hubs update live. - Fast. Simple questions answer in about a second. - Also available as the FootQuery bot in Discord. ## What FootQuery is not - Not a chatbot that writes answers from web pages. - Not opinions, news or tips. - Not predictions presented as facts. - Not "AI-generated stats". No number is invented; if the data is missing, FootQuery says so. ## Example questions - "Mbappé shots on target, last 10 matches": a per-match log with opponent, minutes and value. - "Salah 2+ shots on target, how often in the last 20?": a threshold hit rate with the exact matches. - "Haaland vs Kane goals this season": a side-by-side comparison from the same data. - "Arsenal vs Chelsea head to head": a match hub. - "Saka goals at home vs away this season": home and away splits. - "When did Ødegaard last get an assist?": the last occurrence. - "Mbappé's longest scoring streak this season": streaks. - Follow-ups refine the same data: "only Champions League", "home matches only", "last 20 instead". ## How answers are computed 1. The AI parses the question into a structured query: player or team, stat, window (for example last 10 matches or this season), competition and filters. 2. FootQuery fetches the real match records for that query. 3. The number is calculated from those records, not written by the AI. 4. The answer shows the matches used and the data provider, so anyone can check it. ## Data source Match, player and team data comes from API-Football. Coverage depends on the competition; where a stat is not covered for a match, FootQuery marks the gap rather than estimating it. ## Boards Each answer is a widget on a board. Widgets can be arranged, refreshed, grouped in folders and shared with a link. Match hubs on a board update live during matches. ## Discord The FootQuery bot answers the same stats questions inside Discord servers, from the same data. ## Pricing FootQuery is in private beta. - Free: try it with no card required. 5 free questions while your access request is reviewed, then 100 questions per day once invited. - Founder: 45 kr per month (normally 69 kr), price locked for the life of the subscription, limited to the first 100 paying members.
